Just a small update
(hint: it's not small)

Hey everyone. I know it's been over a year since I have provided a blog update, or really any update at all. So it's good to be back, I guess.

Currently, I have no 'big' music projects running which is unfortunate, as it's already been over 6 months since 'High Wind' has been released. It's probably due to my lack of inspiration or motivation, as nothing has sparked me to create some more stuff.

On the other hand, I do have quite a few YOUTUBE projects that are releasing... soon enough. I have one massive, edited video (similar to 'Torturing Kids on Natural Disasters Survival'), where I jammed in so much editing that my computer nearly explodes. That should be releasing within a few weeks from when this post was made... hopefully. I still need thumbnails which are quite difficult to make, especially one from a Roblox Game so it will take time.

Secondly, I have a few Minecraft series running simultaneously, both pertaining to be a 'lets play' style videos.

- MFD SMP Season 7. It's basically a vanilla SMP between me and my friends. Currently there have been 3 episodes recorded, all of which are on my computer. Unfortunately though, the entire world has been corrupted (thanks to shockbyte, off course), and while I can still possibly recover the world (which takes time), currently there aren't any plans to continue with this world or series. These three episodes that already have been recorded may be uploaded, although I'm not too sure if they will be edited, or even published within the foreseeable future.

- RLCraft. A rlcraft (which is a massive minecraft modpack) smp between me and my friends. Currently 1 episode is released with a 2nd one being recorded and edited.

These series are really the only 'consistent' uploads on my channel, as I've become a little bit more lazier and tired from posting dumb geometry dash featured levels videos where I have absolutely no fun and it's all super boring.

I'm moving away from algorithmic videos (basically videos that perform better on Youtube) as I'm realising now that I'm not as invested into Youtube anymore. I have other hobbies and passions, some of which I would like to pursue furthermore than Youtube. Algorithmic videos, whilst performing better, are no fun to me. Even with this, my channel continues to see a decline in subscribers, which is highly attributed to the 2 month break I took between May and June. While trying to breakout of a dead-youtube-zone would be nice, I'd prefer to keep my channel more low-key, only uploading stuff I'd like and not 'force uploading' anything.

Anyways, I hope this blog post provides further detail into where I've been for the past year (even though it probably doesn't). I hope to be a little bit more active, I guess. Hey, this website was also updated since I made this post. Isn't that awesome.

Releasing on every major music-streaming services... except newgrounds. sorry lol.

This song has been in the works for quite some time, so I'm super ecstatic that I'm finally releasing it. Something a lot of people don't know is that normally music takes WEEKS or even MONTHS to get released. Yes, you can set your music to upload instantly to music distributing services but then distrokid says 'omg ur music too quick for us lol'. maybe a little more formal than that... but same concept. I'd finished writing the music in mid-June but set the release date on the 30th, for no particular reasoning.

This was my first full composition I'd done in like a month. Valiance or violence only released a couple months ago so this was actually quite quick to write. Took me approximately 20 combined hours over a span of a week in June. Yeah, waiting those two weeks prior to release date was especially bothersome as I really wanted to push out this music earlier. Like seriously, it's hard to control yourself when you've just made an awesome masterpiece but you've gotta wait another week before people and yourself can actually see it.

Composition Notes:

Alr i'll put this in the blog because I normally do this with other songs it's just composition notes make sense considering this is only a single.

No inspirations. I wasn't inspired by anything when writing, all the melodic and rhythmic components were all my original ideas. I didn't even take the easy shortcut and used melodic sequences I'd previously used in previous songs I'd made, like in Suborbital and Valiance or Violence.

This song is more experimental than anything. I never like writing 6/8 slow tempo, so it was quite interesting thinking of weird melodies. I'm constantly pushing the boundaries as this time, I wrote with 10 instruments; Piano, Elec guitar lead/crunch, distortion guitar (useless and unnecessary imo), bass, trumpet, trombone, violin, cello, double bass, drums.; the most i've ever dealt with. I also changed keys like 50 times; dminor, csharp minor, gminor, aminor. i actually haven't written any songs in major keys which i find weird, maybe I just don't like them.

Since I tried many new things in this song, trying to get anything done was quite difficult. Unlike valiance or violence (which arguably took longer than this yet less '''brain power'''), I reused an entire melodic and rhythmic section in section B from an old previous un-released song, instead here everything is new and original. As I stated earlier, I didn't get inspired by anything nor used any old melodic sequences.

anyways, i hope you enjoyed this new release. right now im super busy with schoolwork but with the holidays upcoming, im able to work more on my music! no more singles for the mean time, im going to write up an entire album next.

Quite an anticipated album, not because it actually has good songs, but instead because I actually spent time trying to hype it up and make cool stuff and graphics I guess (like above). Featuring 18 (only like 10 are worthwhile) purely piano songs dating back to 2020. This album also features certain re-releases of songs in a previous album but in piano and stripped style, just in case you decide to like those versions more.

Newgrounds future:

With access to music distribution services, unfortunately, I will stop uploading music to Newgrounds.

This is not because I'm simply lazy, but instead, it's because I retain more rights with music distributors rather than Newgrounds. People can easily steal music from Newgrounds, which will usually be unnoticed as Newgrounds doesn't have protection, unlike other services.

Another issue is that Newgrounds doesn't support wav files. Wav files are much better than mp3 formats and especially with the music notating program I use, the music can lose its quality and overall sound bad.

Newgrounds also limit the number of songs that can be uploaded to 4 songs a day, which can severely limit album releases.
